If one report is to be believed, a car accident led to Alberto Del Rio being stabbed.
After missing Sunday's AAA show due to being stabbed, MLW Radio stated that Del Rio lost his phone following the San Antonio attack, and was unable to contact AAA. Del Rio contacted AAA Monday, and the situation was smoothed over. The outlet states that Del Rio wanted to charter a flight and get to the show, but was hospitalized and convinced otherwise.
A driver allegedly hit Del Rio's car, which led to a confrontation between the two drivers. Del Rio said that he tried to walk away from the situation as the assailant wielded a knife, as he had a plane to catch. Del Rio claims he was then attacked with said knife, and narrowly missed having his face cut. After taking the man down, Del Rio was repeatedly stabbed, and the man got away in his car. Witnesses were said to have taken down the attacker's license place, and a police report was filed.
Del Rio is fine after the incident, despite losing a lot of blood. There's no word on if the man who stabbed Del Rio hs been caught.
WWE producer Jamie Noble was also involved in a road rage stabbing last week.
