Report: Alberto El Patron To Return For GFW November Tapings

Alberto El Patron could be making his Global Force Wrestling return later this year.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, El Patron might be making his GFW return for the November tapings after the Bound for Glory show on November 5 after being suspended since July. The idea for his return is that he will be a heel against the company, upset about his suspension and being stripped of the title.

El Patron was the Unified GFW Heavyweight Champion since the Slammiversary show earlier this year, but was stripped of the title on August 14 by the company. The title has since been won by Eli Drake at Destination X after Jim Cornette returned to wrestling television as an on-screen character and ordered a Gauntlet fo the Gold match.

El Patron was originally suspended back on July 12, three days after an alleged domestic violence incident with former WWE Divas Champion Paige at Orlando International Airport, which occurred after a set of GFW Impact tapings. El Patron was originally under investigation for domestic assault but was cleared by police of any wrongdoing.

GFW Impact is currently broadcasting episodes taped back in late August, where several wrestling stars have returned or have made their debuts, such as Cornette, Lucha Underground star Johnny Mundo, Petey Williams and Taryn Terrell.
