REPORT: Ben Affleck & Matt Damon Scrapped Hulk Hogan Project Before His Passing

The project was shelved long before Hogan’s passing.
There’s an exclusive story that ran on the TMZ website, and the outlet noted that a Hulk Hogan project has been scrapped. Golden Globe Award-winning actors Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were going to be putting together a project about Hogan’s legal battle with Gawker Media. Gawker posted the sex tape of Hogan, which included audio of racist remarks Hogan made about the individual his daughter, Brooke Hogan, was dating.
TMZ added that the Damon/Affleck project being scrapped is not related to Hogan’s passing. Their production company, Artists Equity, has not worked on the project in quite some time. The outlet learned that the project was tabled a while ago. It is unknown why it was scrapped.
Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, was not going to be involved with the movie and was not interested either. Sources close to TMZ relayed to the outlet that Bollea would have taken legal action if Damon and Affleck went too far.
Matthew Belloni wrote in his Puck newsletter that Netflix and Bollea were working on a documentary about his life.
There were tributes to Hogan on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.
