There's a reason why Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar didn't get physical on Monday's episode of Raw.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Strowman has still not been cleared for physical contact. Strowman underwent elbow surgery on Nov. 21 to repair his "shattered elbow." As of now, he is still scheduled to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble.
Strowman was kept off television for weeks following the surgery, returning at WWE TLC to face Baron Corbin. Strowman did not get physical in the bout, showing up in a sling just to record the pinfall victory. He has been kept off the live events, where he had been advertised to face Corbin. Instead, Corbin has been winning the bouts by countout.
Strowman was once again off television following WWE TLC, but returned during last night's episode. He confronted Lesnar in a dueling promo segment that awkwardly ended with Lesnar walking around the ring before heading backstage. You can view the segment in the video above.
WWE has been chronicling Strowman's return through their YouTube series Remaking The Monster. You can watch the first episode here.
