Following the startling debut of Cain Velasquez in the WWE on the debut episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown live on Fox, it became very clear that the former UFC opponents would eventually square off in a 20 by 20 squared circle.
Dear @WWE Digital Team ... you stupid reckless morons put @ReneeYoungWWE in close proximity to a vengeful @reymysterio and that @UFC THUG @cainmma????? Who doles out these assignments? What the hell is wrong with you? @VinceMcMahon should fire your entire department!!! https://t.co/6P3ZCuoDBR— Paul Heyman (@HeymanHustle) October 5, 2019
According to a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez are due to square off in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the next Crown Jewel event on October 31st.
Velasquez defeated Lesnar in the main event of UFC 121 on October 23, 2010. After a first-round KO, Lesnar would have a brief confrontation with The Undertaker.
Brock returned to WWE in 2012 and has been in the main event mix ever since. Should Lesnar and Cain fight at Crown Jewel, this will be Lesnar's 4th match in Saudi Arabia since April 2018.
