Report: Chris Jericho Was Paid $100,000 For WWE Greatest Royal Rumble Appearance

Chris Jericho made a lot of money for three minutes of work.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Jericho was paid $100,000 for his appearance at the Greatest Royal Rumble in April in Saudi Arabia. Jericho entered the Greatest Royal Rumble at No. 50 and lasted 3:18 before being eliminated by Braun Strowman.

Jericho's booking plans at the Greatest Royal Rumble changed a handful of times. He was booked to face The Undertaker in a casket match, replacing Rusev in the bout. However, the Prince of Saudi reportedly wanted Rusev in the match, so Jericho was pulled from the match and Rusev regained his original spot.

Jericho shared his Saudi Arabia horror story in a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, noting that WWE would have to pay him triple if they wanted him to go back. WWE returned to Saudi Arabia on Nov. 2 for Crown Jewel, but Jericho was not part of the card as he had already booked a Nov. 3 bout with EVIL at NJPW Power Struggle.

The Greatest Royal Rumble marked the last time Jericho has appeared on WWE television.
