Report: DAZN Paid 'Nearly Half A Million Dollars' For WWE Promotion Of Taylor vs. Serrano

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will make history on Saturday as the two women headline Madison Square Garden.

Ahead of their boxing bout, WWE partnered with DAZN to sell the fight. WWE has promoted the fight on various social platforms and sent Becky Lynch (representing Taylor) and Bianca Belair (representing Serrano) to Friday's weigh-in festivities. The winner of the bout will receive a custom WWE Raw Women's Championship.

According to Sportico, DAZN paid nearly half a million dollars for the multi-platform promotion across WWE assets. Stephanie McMahon reportedly brokered the deal for WWE.

Belair defeated Lynch at WrestleMania 38 to capture the Raw Women's Championship.
