Report: Dolph Ziggler Turned Down WWE Offer To Become A Producer

Dolph Ziggler isn't ready to step away from the ring just yet.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Ziggler turned down WWE's offer to become a producer. Ziggler has not appeared on WWE television since the Dec. 31 episode of Raw where he was defeated, and then beaten down, by Drew McIntyre in a Steel Cage Match.

Ziggler did work the WWE Holiday Tour at the end of December and into January, competing in triple threat bouts against Finn Balor and McIntyre. His last WWE match took place on Jan. 6 in Fort Myers, Florida at a live event.

Johnson reports that Ziggler is still under contract to WWE but some in the company believe that he will exit the company on Jan. 31. Others deny that he will be exiting at all.

Ziggler is set to begin a comedy tour on Jan. 27 in Phoenix, which is the same date and location as WWE Royal Rumble. His set is scheduled to begin immediately following the Royal Rumble and will be held across the street from Chase Field.
