Report: Drew Gulak's New Contract Is A Multi-Year Deal

Drew Gulak left WWE on May 16 after it was reported that his contract had expired. Gulak was reportedly looking for a raise, but the two sides couldn't agree to terms.

On May 25, Fightful Select reported that Gulak worked the SmackDown tapings for this week. The report said, "Gulak appeared in the ring with over a dozen other wrestlers, but his brief absence wasn't mentioned over the house microphones at least."

Shortly after the Fightful Select report, Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported that Gulak had agreed to a new deal with WWE, though terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Gulak's contract is a multi-year deal, though there is no specific length given. Meltzer also notes that Gulak was contacted for outside dates -- he wouldn't have had a non-compete clause as his contract expired and he wasn't released -- but turned them down. Meltzer says "word going around was that he clearly had a destination."

Fightful Select reported on Thursday that Gulak participated in a battle royal that is set to air on SmackDown.

Fightful will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
