Report: Ed Koskey Leading WWE Creative; Bruce Prichard Makes Sure Vince's Vision Is Executed

A new report gives more insight into the current structure of the WWE creative team.

During the summer of 2019, WWE announced its biggest creative shift in quite some time when Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff were hired by the company in the newly-created Executive Director positions for both the Raw and SmackDown brands.

Fast forward to present-day, Bruce Prichard now oversees both Raw and SmackDown after being appointed as the Executive Director of both brands on June 11, 2020. According to a report by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, even though Prichard is in charge of both brands, he is not the driving force of WWE creative.

Ed Koskey drives creative, says Dave Meltzer. Bruce Prichard is tasked with overseeing the creative process and making sure the vision of WWE CEO Vince McMahon is executed properly. Pritchard is also tasked with making sure other departments are up-to-date regarding plans such as merchandising and making sure that network and promotional partners are all on the same page regarding ideas such as returning Superstars so that all marketing aspects are current.

Bruce Prichard also deals with USA and FOX, but it is reported that Kevin Dunn has also stepped in with a helping hand regarding speaking with networks and that newly-hired WWE executive Nick Khan may be used in this capacity as well.

WWE television is undergoing its next evolution in the form of WWE ThunderDome, a virtual viewing experience that will make its debut on the August 21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Learn more at this link.
