Report: Hideo Itami, Rockstar Spud May Be Heading To 205 Live

According to a new report, fresh international talent is heading to 205 Live and the cruiserweight division.

PWInsider is reporting that WWE has their eye on Rockstar Spud being a part of the 205 Live roster. This is coming off reports from yesterday that he had requested his release from Impact. He had been part of their roster for most of the decade, originally winning their first British Boot Camp reality show.

Another name being considered for the 205 Live roster is Hideo Itami. Apparently, the idea has been pitched to creative about bringing him up several times as of late. There isn’t a date set yet for when this might go down, but the plan is to call up Itami as soon as they have an idea in place.

Itami hasn’t been on TV since August. He had recently turned heel on NXT television after turning on Kassius Ohno earlier in the year. He then shifted his focus to Aleister Black, who he lost to at NXT Takeover back in August. Since then, he’s mostly been on NXT Live events. Before departing Impact Wrestling, Rockstar Spud was mainly used as a ring announcer once Jeff Jarrett took over briefly. He also briefly feuded with Swoggle earlier in the year in a comedic role.
