Report: WWE 'Discussed An Idea' To Have The Rock Work A Tag Team Match At WrestleMania 38

An update on The Rock's status for WrestleMania 38.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, an idea has been discussed to have The Rock compete opposite of Roman Reigns in a tag team match at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas. The Rock would team with one Uso while Reigns would team with the other.

Meltzer notes that this would help protect The Rock and be a concession to protect him from a potential injury that could affect his movie status.

It is unknown if The Rock will compete in any capacity at WrestleMania 38. A match between The Rock and Reigns has been heavily talked about publicly by Reigns, Rock, and Paul Heyman. Reigns has said that WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles makes the most sense for the two to compete against each other.

WWE reportedly wants The Rock to appear in some capacity for Survivor Series in November.

Fightful will continue to update fans on the status of The Rock as more is known.
