Report: Impact Wrestling And AXS Negotiating TV Deal

It looks like Impact Wrestling has found a new home in the form of AXS.

According to a new report by Voices of Wrestling, Impact Wrestling -- the former TNA -- is close to landing on AXS TV. This after years of instability that has seen them go from Spike TV to Destination America to Pop TV to Pursuit, as well as Twitch. It was noted that the deal isn't done and there have been hold ups in relation to it.

The move to Pursuit has been a tumultuous one. Both Impact and Pursuit are owned by Anthem, but Pursuit has made constant errors, including not returning from commercials, and playing the wrong episodes of IMPACT.

Fightful has reached out to AXS on the matter. At the time, AXS also hosts New Japan Pro Wrestling content, in addition to WOW Women of Wrestling. The latter actually features Impact stars Tessa Blanchard and Kiera Hogan heavily.

Even though AXS will be home to Impact, it doesn't look like a potential partnership with New Japan Pro Wrestling is on the horizon. Fightful spoke to three sources within NJPW who said that it's very unlikely unless AXS actually acquires the whole promotion, and one who said that Impact has tried to "repair the broken bridge" that exists between the two companies, and while the gesture was appreciated, didn't change much.

IMPACT Wrestling hosts their Slammiversary event this weekend at 8 PM EST on pay-per-view. Fightful will have full, live coverage of the show.
