Report: IMPACT Wrestling Had Positive COVID-19 Test At Recent Taping

IMPACT Wrestling reportedly had a positive COVID-19 test.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, there was a positive COVID-19 test at the most recent IMPACT Wrestling tapings. Meltzer reports that a few wrestlers were notified, but others weren't and those who weren't notified were "very hot" at not finding out directly from management.

The report states that IMPACT has only been doing temperature checks and not testing as they've run shows during the pandemic. One wrestler noted to Meltzer that it was "very irresponsible" of IMPACT to be the only major company to not be doing testing. WWE began testing following multiple positive tests in June while AEW has been consistently testing. Promotions like MLW and ROH shutdown for months before starting up again with bulk tapings and COVID testing.

IMPACT has been doing bulk tapings at Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee during the coronavirus pandemic and has continued to run its weekly television show on AXS while also holding pay-per-view and IMPACT+ special events.

Fightful will continue to monitor the story as more information is known.
