Report: IMPACT Wrestling Pulled LAX From EVOLVE Shows Due To WWE Relationship

Reason revealed for LAX being pulled from EVOLVE events.

On Nov. 22, EVOLVE announced that IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions LAX (Santana and Ortiz) would be making their EVOLVE debuts in December. On Tuesday, the company announced that LAX would face The Street Profits and AR Fox & Leon Ruff in a triple threat tag team bout for the EVOLVE Tag Team Titles at EVOLVE 117 and team with Austin Theory to battle Darby Allin & The Street Profits in six-man tag action at EVOLVE 118.

Shortly after their bouts were announced, Gabe Sapolsky revealed that IMPACT Wrestling had pulled LAX from their appearances.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that IMPACT didn't want its Tag Team Champions working on a show that may end up on the WWE Network and losing to talent that "WWE isn?t using as one of its top tag teams." Meltzer also reports that IMPACT sees EVOLVE as part of WWE.

On Thursday morning, Santana took to Twitter to discuss the situation.

No replacements have been named at this time. EVOLVE 117 takes place in Queens, NY on Dec. 15. EVOLVE 118 is being held in Deer Park, NY on Dec. 16.
