Report: Jeff Hardy Was Backstage At WWE SmackDown, Scheduled To Be Backstage On 2/28

Jeff Hardy was backstage at WWE SmackDown on Friday and is reportedly scheduled to be backstage next Friday, Feb. 28, as well.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider first reported the news. Johnson notes that "it appears" Hardy will return to the SmackDown brand, but that hasn't been confirmed.

Jeff, along with his brother Matt, won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles on April 9, 2019 when they defeated The Usos. Unfortunately, the brothers had to relinquish the titles on April 30 due a leg injury suffered by Hardy. It was announced that he would be out of action for six to nine months following surgery in early May.

Jeff had a rough 2019 as, along with his leg injury, he was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for public intoxication in July and then arrested and charged with driving while impaired in Moore County, North Carolina in October. He is slated for a court date in North Carolina on April 6 stemming from the October charges.

It was reported on Feb. 11 that Jeff would be back at the WWE Performance Center in the coming weeks.
