Report: Jerry Lawler Signs New Contract With WWE

Jerry Lawler set to remain with WWE.

According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, "the word making the rounds" at WWE Raw is that Jerry Lawler has signed a new deal with WWE. The length of the contract was not reported.

Lawler's deal reportedly would have expired at the end of the year.

Lawler is a long-time member of the WWE commentary team, but hasn't done commentary for WWE Raw since April 2020 when he was replaced by Samoa Joe. It is unknown when he will return to WWE television.

He remains active on the Independent scene, recently wrestling the likes to Scott Steiner, nZo, and Big Cass at Independent events.

WWE Raw is set to emanate for Memphis, TN, Lawler's hometown, on Monday. The show will be headlined by Big E taking on Kevin Owens in a cage match and Becky Lynch defending the Raw Women's Championship against Liv Morgan.

Fightful will have live coverage of WWE Raw beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Monday.
