Report: Jon Moxley Dealing With Elbow Injury

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, AEW star Jon Moxley is currently dealing with an elbow injury, though it is unknown the type of injury or how severe the injury is. Meltzer reports that it "may be" an infection he picked up while working in Japan, but that has not been confirmed.

Moxley worked Northeast Wrestling 'Prison Break' on Aug. 16, taking on Pentagon Jr. He was reportedly very careful not to take any bumps on his elbow.

The current IWGP United States Champion worked the G1 Climax 2019 tournament for NJPW, finishing with 10 points and a 5-4 record. He lost to Juice Robinson on the final night of block action, evening their series at 1-1. Following the tournament, Moxley said he would defend the IWGP US Title against Juice in a No Disqualification bout. The match has not officially been announced by NJPW. His contract with NJPW reportedly runs through Wrestle Kingdom 14.

He is still scheduled to face Kenny Omega at AEW All Out on Aug. 31.
