Josh Mathews has reportedly joined AEW.
Per PWInsider, Josh Mathews has officially joined AEW. He brings his years of wrestling experience to the company. He has recently been working behind the scenes in the production truck, streamlining communication between the production crew and AEW's producers.
Josh Mathews was released by TNA Wrestling in February 2025 after a decade with the company. He played a significant role in that company's production in the dying days of the Dixie Carter-led era and throughout the transition of Anthem Sports and Entertainment acquiring TNA.
Mathews got his start in professional wrestling on WWE Tough Enough. He was a contestant in the first season and spent many years as a WWE broadcaster on-air.
Fightful will continue to report any updates on changes to the backstage personnel of AEW and all other wrestling promotions.
