Sane is currently living in Japan after being written off WWE television in July. She has continued to work for WWE as a promotional supporter and ambassador in Japan. She also provided Japanese commentary for WWE Hell in a Cell.

She last wrestled for Stardom in June 2017 prior to joining WWE, teaming with Hiromi Mimura & Konami and losing the Artist Of Stardom Championships to Queen's Quest (AZM, HZK & Io Shirai). In the main event, she competed in a gauntlet match against AZM, Hanan, Hiromi Mimura, HZK, Io Shirai, Jungle Kyona, Konami, Mayu Iwatani, Natsuko Tora & Ruaka.

Stardom 10th Anniversary is scheduled for March 3 at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan. An All-Star tournament will be held at the event.
