Alberto Del Rio appears to be done in the WWE.
We mentioned a few days ago that former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio has been removed from all upcoming WWE live events, even after his suspension will be up. According to a report from Wrestling Inc, Alberto Del Rio's lawyer let the company know that he'd be leaving WWE two months ago.
Del Rio has an opt-out clause in his contract in September that he's executing due to creative direction. Del Rio was told that he was getting a main event push and program, which quickly went down the toilet.
There are unconfirmed rumors that Triple H is the person who caused Del Rio to be pushed even further down the card. HHH reportedly thinks that Del Rio parties too much, and is a bad influence on his girlfriend, WWE Superstar Paige.
Del Rio now has had two less-than amicable exits from WWE, as well as messy departures from AAA and Lucha Underground. He was suspended by WWE on August 17 for a wellness policy violation.
Immediately after his opt-out is in effect, he'll be eligible to wrestle Mexico.
