Report: Ligero Released By WWE

Ligero is no longer with WWE.

PWInsider reports that Ligero has been released by WWE. The former NXT UK star had his WWE.com profile deleted and is no longer on the website, whether it is on the active superstars page or in the Alumni page.

This comes after Ligero was accused of sexual assault by Violet O'Hara. Ligero recently issued a statement saying that O'Hara's accusations are inaccurate. O'Hara claimed Ligero acted as a "white knight" in saving her from a bad scene at a bar. Following the incident, Ligero and a group of friends were allowed to stay at O'Hara's hotel as they needed a place to crash. O'Hara claimed that Ligero said he could not sleep on the floor, she agreed to allow him in her room as long as he stayed on the opposite side, and was then indecently assaulted by Ligero.

Multiple women have also accused Ligero of requesting photographs or making sexual comments despite them being underage and Ligero has also issued statements on other accusations as well.

Ligero signed with WWE back in 2018 and has primarily wrestled on the NXT UK brand. Ligero last wrestled on the April 2 episode of NXT, competing in a Battle Royal for No. 1 Contender status for the NXT UK Championship.

Previously, PROGRESS Wrestling cut ties with Ligero, as well as a number of wrestlers.
