Report: Lucha Underground Being Shopped Around For Other TV Networks

With the Lucha Underground's third season about to air its final episode, more questions regarding its future are starting to surround the show.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lucha Underground officials are looking to shop the show in the hopes networks other than the El Rey Network could finance and broadcast a fourth season. The people who put the money in for the last two seasons of the show are not putting any more in because the show drove almost no revenue.

As it stands, there is reportedly a divide between the management team on what to do with the show. One side reportedly wants to pull the plug on the show as it has provided close to no discernable profit and that it is too expensive to keep making. The other side of that argument is mainly comprised of Eric Van Wagenen, Dorian Roldan and Vampiro, who all believe in the project and feel it just needs time and better exposure to watch on.

This comes a week after it was being reported that show officials may have found a possible investor, but the money that would be provided per episode would be significantly less than the per episode budget the show previously had.
