Report: Mark Haskins Fined By Maryland State Athletic Commission For Use Of Blood

Mark Haskins has been fined by the Maryland State Athletic Commission for bleeding in a recent match against Bully Ray.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Haskins has been fined $4,000 dollars for "allowing himself to be lifted and thrown into the table with the barbed wire board and suffering lacerations in several areas," which violated the banning of blood in Maryland.

The match between Ray and Haskins took place at ROH Final Battle 2019 from the UMBC Event Centre in Baltimore, Maryland.

The commission order was that Haskins had to pay $2,000 by the end of March and another $2,000 by the end of February 2021. The order dates back to February 21.

Meltzer notes that the punishment is different from the punishment issued to AEW in May. AEW was fined $10,000 by the Maryland Commission for the Lights Out match between Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega where both men bled at AEW Full Gear. In that instance, the promotion was fined and not the wrestlers.

The complaint made against AEW was filed by former WCW announcer Chris Cruise.
