Nia Jax looks to be returning soon.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports that Nia Jax will be at this Friday's WWE SmackDown taping and will be part of the SmackDown brand once she returns. It has not been confirmed that Jax will make her return on Friday, just that she is scheduled to be backstage for the event.
Jax was reportedly medically cleared after undergoing double ACL surgery in April 2019. She last wrestled at WrestleMania 35, teaming with Tamina and losing to The IIconics in a fatal four-way Women's Tag Team Title bout that also featured Beth Phoenix & Natalya and Sasha Banks & Bayley.
In December, she posted a photo of herself working out at the WWE Performance Center.
Friday's WWE SmackDown will see the return of two stars as WWE confirmed that Jeff Hardy and Paige will be part of SmackDown. Hardy has been sidelined since April 2019 with a knee injury. His role for Friday is unknown. Meanwhile, Paige will be returning to confront Bayley.
Fightful will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Friday.
