WWE confirmed the news on social media.

The only match made official for NXT TakeOver: Tampa is a ladder match to crown the number one contender for the NXT Women's Championship. Chelsea Green, Mia Yim, and Tegan Nox won qualifying matches to earn their spot in the match with more competitors set to be announced.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, WWE was forced to change plans for WrestleMania week. WrestleMania 36 was moved from Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, Apr. 5 to a two-night event that will be taped across multiple locations. At the time of the announcement, it was revealed that NXT TakeOver: Tampa, originally scheduled for Apr. 4, would not take place as scheduled.

NXT airs every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network. Fightful provides live coverage of the show each week.
