Report: Paul Heyman Looking To Add Consequences To Raw, Make Dialogue More Realistic

Paul Heyman is looking to make changes to certain aspects of WWE Raw as Executive Director.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the famed former ECW owner is making an effort to change the way that backstage interviews come across so they seem more realistic. The dialogue as the past has been seen as "fake."

Consequences from week to week were also mentioned, as in dropped storylines, injuries being sold across shows and the like. It was said in the report that when top guys have wanted to do this, Vince McMahon traditionally nixes it, because he doesn't want them to seem weak on television. However, mid-card wrestlers are generally allowed to further injury storylines. An example was Braun Strowman, who had almost 20 minutes dedicated to a severe incident on Raw one week, and returned a couple of weeks later virtually unscathed.

Heyman was announced as WWE Raw's Executive Director recently, and shortly after it was revealed that WWE Raw would be targeting a teen demographic.
