*Spoilers within this article*

Ring Of Honor held television tapings in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 29th coming out of their 'Death Before Dishonor XVI' PPV. On tap for the ROH TV tapings was a World Television Championship match between Punishment Martinez and 2018 BOLA tournament winner Jeff Cobb. Martinez dropped the championship to Cobb and there is now a new World Television Champion in Ring Of Honor.

Once that match airs on ROH TV it will have been the last time that viewers see the 2017 'Survival Of The Fittest' tournament winner on ROH programming as PWInsider is reporting that the match with Jeff Cobb was Martinez's last for Ring Of Honor and he is officially done with the company. The site added that once Martinez got to the back he said his goodbyes to everyone. September 29th was Martinez's last scheduled date with Ring Of Honor and he made the decision to not re-sign.

Punishment Martinez kick-started his career in wrestling by training at the 'Monster Factory' which is where a number of Ring Of Honor stars graduated from. He was brought into ROH in 2015 and has been with the company since then. Martinez captured the ROH World Television Championship this past June and fast forward to present day and he has completed his contracted dates with Ring Of Honor and is now free to compete wherever he pleases.

*UPDATE*

F4WOnline followed up on this report and it was noted within the article that according to Dave Meltzer, Punishment Martinez is indeed heading to the WWE now that he is a free agent.

There was a big announcement made by Tenille Dashwood during the ROH TV tapings and to read what she had to say, head over to Fightful's published article on the topic.
