Report: The Revival Were Frustrated With Tag Team Division's Lack Of Direction, Promos, More

More details have come to forefront about why The Revival reportedly asked for their release.

The former two-time NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival have been the talk of wrestling world over the past few days because of the reports that they've asked for their release from WWE. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported that WWE was fearful that Wilder and Dawson were going to be finishing up with the company and departing once their contracts expire while Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has independently confirmed that Dash and Dawson did indeed ask for their release.

New details have emerged concerning why Dash and Dawson were frustrated with WWE by way of Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet. Sources indicated to the site that the reason Dash and Dawson requested their release was because they were frustrated with the time and respect that the tag team division was getting. They were not pleased with the lack of promo time and backstage segments and this feeling was not just about them, but they wanted more for the entire division as well.

It was also noted in the report that The Revival expressed their feelings after the RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable were not featured on the most recent show. The Revival did wrestle on the January 14th RAW on-which they squared off against Lucha House Party. The match was not focused on because of the on-going backstage segment that was taking place which featured a number of superstars standing outside of Vince McMahon's office positioning themselves to get a shot at Brock Lesnar's Universal Title.

Satin added that there has been communication between both WWE and The Revival over the past few days but there is nothing definite concerning a resolution and that The Revival have a "decent" amount of time left on their contracts.
