Report: Sami Callihan Worked Backstage At Recent AEW Tapings

Sami Callihan has found a new role.

Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam reports Sami Callihan “has been working backstage the last three weeks for AEW’s Dynamite Tapings in Clearwater, Florida, Roanoke, Virginia and last night in Boston, Massachusetts. Sources also confirmed that Callihan will be at tonight’s AEW Collision tapings in Boston. Additionally, it was noted that Callihan has seemingly been working as a backstage producer.”

The report adds that AEW sources said, “it doesn’t seem like he has a contract yet.”

On June 17, Callihan announced that he had been fired by TNA. Callihan said that he got a phone call thinking he was going to be named to the creative team, but instead learned that he would be out a job.
