Report: Shayna Baszler Tapes Match For WWE Main Event

Shayna Baszler was back in the ring during the latest round of WWE tapings, but not for WWE Raw.

According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Baszler taped a match for a future episode of WWE Main Event during the latest Performance Center tapings.

Roman Reigns Withdraws From 2024 WWE Draft, Not Returning To WWE TV In The Immediate Future

Baszler has been noticeably absent from WWE television over the past two months, last competing on Raw back on May 12 when she defeated Natalya by submission. Baszler challenged Becky Lynch for the Raw Women's Title at WrestleMania 36, and though Becky wanted to drop the title to Baszler, "The Cagefighter" was defeated in the bout and her momentum dropped following an appearance in the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match.

Fightful Select report on July 2 that Baszler wasn't hurt and doesn't have COVID-19, she simply just hasn't been booked recently. Baszler worked directly with Paul Heyman during her run, but Heyman was replaced as Executive Director of Raw on June 11 by Bruce Prichard.

It is unknown when Baszler will return to WWE Raw, but fans can catch her on Main Event at some point in the coming weeks.
