Cervantes is a longtime Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and has been training to make her MMA debut for some time. Cervantes has also wrestled in Lucha Underground as Kobra Moon and as Serpentine on AXS TV's Women Of Wrestling show. In Lucha Underground, she was a former Trios Champion alongside Daga and Jeremiah Snake.

This isn't the first time Combate Americas has brought on a pro wrestler to its roster. Former WWE star Alberto Del Rio, who has fought professionally in MMA, is a figurehead for the company and is set to fight former UFC champion Tito Ortiz at some point in the future
