The Undertaker was reportedly backstage at WWE Raw.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports Undertaker was backstage, though he didn't appear on television. PWInsider reported before the show that Undertaker was scheduled to make an appearance on television. Instead, AJ Styles cut an in-ring promo where he ran down The Undertaker for hanging on too long, called out his wife Michelle McCool for running him into the ground, and challenged Undertaker to a match at WrestleMania 36.
Undertaker has been confirmed to appear on the Mar. 16 episode of WWE Raw where he will sign the contract, making his WrestleMania match against Styles official.
"The Deadman" made a surprise appearance at WWE Super ShowDown, pinning AJ Styles to win the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match. He would return at WWE Elimination Chamber, helping Aleister Black defeat Styles in a No DQ match. Black was being attacked by Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson when Taker emerged from the darkness.
Along with an appearance by The Undertaker, Steve Austin will be on next Monday's WWE Raw to celebrate 3/16 day.
Fightful will have live coverage of WWE Raw beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Monday.
