Report: Vince McMahon Removed From WWE Internal Roster, 'Wrestling' And 'Wrestler' No Longer 'Dirty'

According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Vince McMahon is no longer listed on the internal WWE roster. McMahon had reportedly been listed internally as a talent alongside other talents who were not assigned to an official brand but would make occasional appearances and were signed to WWE deals such as The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella) and John Cena.

Furthermore, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that "Wrestler" and "Wrestling" are no longer considered "dirty words" in WWE. WWE coined the terms "sports entertainment" and "superstar" over the years to differentiate the product.

Becky Lynch recently commented about the possibility of having more freedom with words with the regime change, using terms like "belt" and "fans."

Vince McMahon retired as WWE CEO on July 22 amid a WWE Board investigation into alleged sexual misconduct and hush money. Stephanie McMahon & Nick Khan were named Co-CEOs while Triple H was named EVP, Talent Relations and assumed creative duties.
