A reported update on Wardlow.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Wardlow is currently sidelined with an injury. Details regarding his injury and how much time he'll miss are currently unknown. Meltzer reports the injury is "not believed to be one that will keep him out of action for a long time."
Wardlow last wrestled on the December 28 episode of AEW Dynamite, failing to regain the AEW TNT Championship to Samoa Joe. After the bout, Joe cut off Wardow's ponytail.
Wardlow won the AEW TNT Championship in July 2022 by defeating Scorpio Sky. He went on to successfully defend the belt seven times before losing it in a triple threat match at AEW Full Gear to Samoa Joe. Powerhouse Hobbs was also part of the bout. Darby Allin is the reigning AEW TNT Champion. He will defend the title against Joe on Wednesday's Dynamite.
