Report: WarnerMedia To Pay For AEW Production; Deal With TNT Includes Ad Revenue Split

Details on AEW's deal with Turner Media/TNT.

On Wednesday morning, All Elite Wrestling announced that the promotion signed a deal a multi-platform deal with Turner Media. Terms of the deal were not announced. According to TSN reporter John McMullen, the deal does not include rights fees but WarnerMedia will pay for the production and there is an ad revenue split between the two parties. This note was also reported by Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. Meltzer reports that there is a downside guarantee in the ad revenue split.

The production costs are currently unknown. A weekly live AEW show is set to debut on TNT later this year but no official date or time has been announced.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer reports that AEW was also in talks with Showtime but notes any deal with Showtime "likely would have been for major shows and not a weekly event." AEW events are currently set to air on pay-per-view and B/R Live.
