Report: WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales Have Surged, Remains Headed Towards Being One Of The Top Gates In WWE History

Much has been made about WrestleMania 42 ticket sales, including on the television show.
Pat McAfee has pointed out that tickets aren’t moving for the event, blaming the state of the business and Cody Rhodes as the leader of the business. McAfee claims that once Randy Orton wins the Undisputed WWE Title against Cody Rhodes, that the business will be saved.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, McAfee announced that tickets for WrestleMania 42 Saturday would be 25% from Friday through WWE Raw this past Monday. The move worked as, according to WrestleTix, over 2,000 extra tickets were sold compared to 600 tickets being sold for WrestleMania Sunday.
In a new report by Sports Business Journal, “A source close to WWE said ticket sales have surged in recent weeks and projected that the event remains headed toward one of the top gates in WWE history.”
For the second straight year, WrestleMania is being held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. WWE announced 61,467 fans attended WrestleMania 41 night one and 63,226 fans for night two.
LVSA reported 58,538 fans attended the event on Saturday and 60,103 fans were there on Sunday for WrestleMania 41.
