Report: WWE Crew Lands Safely In Boston For SmackDown From Saudi Arabia

WWE did not run into any travel issues when returning home from Saudi Arabia following Super ShowDown 2020.

A report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider states the WWE crew landed safely in Boston, Massachusetts at around two o?clock in the morning on February 28th, 2020. Boston, Massachusetts is the site of the February 28th episode of WWE SmackDown which will feature the return of John Cena as well as new Universal Champion, Bill Goldberg.

Following the last Saudi Arabian Show, WWE Crown Jewel 2019, there were issues with the charter plane which left several Superstars stuck in Saudi Arabia longer than expected and forced SmackDown to feature a large majority of NXT superstars for the November 1st, 2019 episode. Several Superstars, including Curtis Axel and the now-released Luke Harper, would speak out against the travel issues, many of the superstars claiming they would never travel over to Saudi Arabia again. Atlas Air would issue an apology, citing mechanical difficulties as the reasoning for the issue back in October 2019.

Fightful will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown on February 28th beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern.
