Report: WWE Has Discussed Sending Omos To AAA For A Run

Omos could reportedly be headed to Lucha Libre AAA for a run.

WrestleVotes reports that WWE creative has discussed sending Omos to AAA for a stint, similar to his stint in Pro Wrestling NOAH.

“WWE creative has discussed sending Omos to AAA for a run, similar to his brief NOAH stint this past winter. Per source, the idea is to further establish him as a true special attraction outside the WWE bubble,” writes WrestleVotes.

Omos appeared in Pro Wrestling NOAH throughout January, wrestling seven matches and winning the GHC Tag Team Titles with Jack Morris. The duo never lost the titles, but they were vacated when Omos left Japan to return to WWE.

He has not wrestled on WWE TV since returning from Pro Wrestling NOAH. His last WWE match took place in April 2024 on the WWE SmackDown before WrestleMania 40 when he competed in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

It is unknown when Omos will return to WWE TV.

WWE announced the purchase of AAA during WrestleMania 41 weekend. The two promotions held its Worlds Collide event in June and WWE talent has appeared and wrestled at AAA events. Los Garza (Berto & Angel) are the reigning AAA Tag Team Champions.

El Grande Americano is set to make his AAA debut in July. Fans can learn more here.
