Report: WWE Has May And November Dates Booked For Saudi Arabia Return

WWE has their return trips to Saudi Arabia booked.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE will return to Saudi Arabia in May and November of next year. No exact dates were given and the company has not officially announced their return to Saudi Arabia.

WWE came under fire this past November for keeping their date in Saudi Arabia after reports came out that the Saudi government was tied to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. John Cena and Daniel Bryan ended up pulling out of their scheduled appearances at Crown Jewel as a result.

Despite public pressure to cancel the event, WWE Crown Jewel went on as scheduled on Nov. 2, but WWE made sure to keep the references to Saudi Arabia to a minimum leading up to the event.

Meltzer goes on to report that bonuses came back for Crown Jewel and that "some talent are happy" and "some are not."

WWE and the Saudi General Sports Authority agreed to a 10-year deal earlier this year. The deal began this past April with the Greatest Royal Rumble.
