Report: WWE Hires Indie Wrestler Patrick Scott As New Writer's Assistant For WWE SmackDown

WWE has hired a new writer's assistant for the SmackDown side of things.

As first reported by Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, WWE has hired independent wrestler Patrick Scott to be a writer's assistant for the WWE SmackDown creative team. Reportedly he will begin his new duties this Monday, February 26.

Scott a new era in his wrestling career in his most recent post on X (Twitter).

Scott made his debut in 2016 and trained in North Carolina at the Carolina Wrestling Academy. He had previously appeared on the September 17, 2017, episode of WWE NXT as part of a tag team enhancement match for Heavy Machinery's Otis & Tucker. He also appeared in 2018 in a loss to Kona Reeves.

He has also been a tag team champion in DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling with Chance Rizer.
