Report: WWE Is Hopeful Sasha Banks Will Return For Money In The Bank

An update on Sasha Banks.

According to John Pollock at POST Wrestling, WWE is said to be hopeful that Sasha Banks will return to the company by the next pay-per-view, which is Money In The Bank on May 19. Pollock does note that "nothing is set in stone" regarding her status.

It was reported earlier this month that Banks wanted out of WWE during WrestleMania weekend as she was frustrated over losing the Women's Tag Team Title at WrestleMania 35. Banks was reportedly under the impression that she & Bayley would have a long run with the titles in order to establish them, but their run lasted less than two months as they lost to The IIconics in a fatal four-way bout. Bayley was reportedly frustrated by the situation as well.

Banks is reportedly being given time off to think about her decision.

On Tuesday's episode of SmackDown, Bayley was moved to the blue brand and announced she would be a singles competitor. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that part of the frustration from Banks & Bayley stems from them being told that they would be splitting up after losing the Women's Tag Team Titles.
