WWE now has an official policy regarding face masks as Coronavirus case numbers ramp-up in Florida.
Recently, WWE and its taping schedule was once again rocked by the Coronavirus pandemic and the surge of cases in the state of Florida where WWE is taping all of its content currently.
Several WWE employees confirmed that they tested positive for the virus including Jamie Noble, Adam Pearce, and Renee Young.
While Florida's governor, Ron DeSantis hasn't instituted an official mask-wearing mandate for the State of Florida and is trusting citizens to use their own discretion, WWE has now put a mandatory mask-wearing policy in place, with hefty fines to be levied against repeat offenders.
According to a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE informed all of its roster and staff on the afternoon of Friday, July 3, 2020, that protective masks must be worn at all times during television tapings with the only exception being the talent that is currently performing in the ring.
First-time offenders who do not comply with the new policy will be fined $500 and repeat offenders will be fined $1,000.
Earlier in the week, Fightful Select reported that the current outbreak of the virus at WWE tapings and the way it is being handled upset many main roster talents. This is a far cry from the first positive test three months ago in which WWE provided the name, how it was likely contracted, and an update on the individual via an internal memo.
