WWE officials reportedly are interested in bringing back The Hardy Boyz, even if they're broken. Of rather, probably because they're "Broken."
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Matt and Jeff Hardy are both being sought after by WWE, but negotiations are in the early stages. TNA has tried to sign both of them to exclusive deals, but with the amount of money they are making from their lucrative independent dates, it might take more money to lock them up than TNA is willing to part with. Plus, with the popularity of the current gimmick, they could stand to make a ton of money through merchandise sales. However, the schedule of WWE can be very demanding, and with Matt's second child on the way, and with Jeff's history of nagging injuries, neither man maybe amenable to working 250+ dates a year. If they were to sign with WWE, Matt in particular would want to be in charge of the creative direction for his character, and he's angling for more creative influence in TNA as well.
Matt's TNA contract expires on February 27th, and Jeff's deal expires some time next month as well. TNA tweeted that they will appear in a "Fact of Life" segment with Eli Drake on Impact Wrestling tonight to make some kind of announcement.
