Later, Andrew returned to Twitter to say that the move back to TV-14 it was not finalized and would not be taking place on Monday, July 18. It is, however, still being worked out and considered for a change in the near future.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp also stated that there were some "mixed signals" internally about this rumored change.

It was not reported if WWE SmackDown will also be rated TV-14. It is also unknown how the TV rating will affect the show, which has undergone set and production changes since returning to the road following the pandemic.
