Tommaso Ciampa Walks Out Of DIY Interview After Loss On 4/22 WWE Raw

- Highlights are shown of what went down last week on WWE NXT.

- Cathy Kelley, Sam Roberts and Pat McAfee are in the studio to host tonight’s Christmas edition of WWE NXT.

- Roderick Strong is backstage and he says Christmas is here and he is a giving man, as he’ll defend the NXT North American Title against a worthy challenger.

Roderick Strong (c) vs. Austin Theory

The match begins with Strong doing some work on the arm of Theory, Strong gets Theory down while applying the Rings Of Saturn before getting a near fall on a pinning combination. Strong then takes Theory down with a headlock, Theory gets free and he taunts Strong for a short time. Strong scores a takedown on Theory and he gets him in a modified STF, Theory gets up and Strong works over his arm again. Theory gets free and he takes Strong down with an arm drag, Theory taunts Strong before getting dropped and stomped on. Strong traps Theory in the corner while landing some chops, Theory recovers and he nails Strong with a drop kick. Theory traps Strong in the corner before landing a few strikes, Theory then drops Strong with a hard Irish whip. Strong fights back and he exchanges strikes with Theory, Theory trips up Strong before landing a standing moonsault for a near fall. Theory follows that up by nailing Strong with a back breaker, Theory mounts Strong before nailing him with some strikes. 

Theory then knocks Strong out of the ring after landing a clothesline, Theory exits the ring and he attacks Strong with strikes. Strong recovers and he nails Theory with an Olympic Slam into the ring post, Theory gets back in the ring and Strong stomps away on him. Theory fights back and he nails Strong with some strikes of his own, Strong recovers and he levels Theory with a drop kick for a near fall. Strong keeps Theory down before applying a bow and arrow stretch to him, Strong breaks the hold after fish hooking Theory. Theory fights back and Strong dumps him on the ring apron, Theory fights back again and Strong nails him with a back breaker for a near fall. Strong keeps Theory down while applying a modified camel clutch to him, Theory gets free and he nails Strong with a suplex. Theory cracks Strong with a few follow up strikes before landing a rolling drop kick, Theory and Strong have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Theory then nails a cornered Strong with a clothesline followed by a slingshot double stomp, Theory follows up with a fisherman buster suplex and rolling blockbuster for a near fall.

Theory looks for a move and his back is too injured to complete it, Theory recovers and he nails Strong with a buckle bomb followed by a back breaker for a near fall. Theory’s back gives out again and Strong nails him with a knee strike, Strong gets Theory on the top rope and he follows him up there to land a superplex. Theory quickly recovers and he nails Strong with a blue thunder driver for a near fall, Strong fights back and he dumps Theory on the ring apron. Strong attacks Theory with some strikes before climbing the ropes and Theory meets him up there, Strong nails Theory with a back breaker on the top turnbuckle for a near fall. Strong drags Theory to the ring apron and Theory hits Strong with a modified suplex on the ring apron, Theory gets Strong back in the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt. Theory and Strong have another striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Theory ends the exchange by nailing Strong with multiple super kicks. Strong recovers to land a knee strike and the End Of Heartache, Strong gets Theory in the Strong Hold and Theory taps out.

Winner: Roderick Strong, still the NXT North American Champion

Isaiah Scott vs.Jack Gallagher

The match begins with Scott doing some work on the arm of Gallagher, Gallagher gets free and he gets Scott in a headlock. Scott gets free and he goes back to work on the arm of Gallagher, Gallagher gets free and he gets Scott in another headlock. Scott gets free and he nails Gallagher with a shoulder tackle, Gallagher recovers and he nails Scott with a monkey flip before applying a chin lock to him. Scott gets free and he nails Gallagher with a tilt-a-whirl slam before wrenching away on his arm, Gallagher gets free and Scott tosses him out of the ring. Gallagher gets back in the ring and Scott nails him with a hurricarana followed by a drop kick, Gallagher exits the ring and Scott chases him back into the ring. Scott knocks Gallagher back out of the ring before landing a kick from the ring apron, Scott gets Gallagher back in the ring before wrenching away on his arm. Scott transitions to the chin lock on the downed Gallagher, Gallagher gets free and he sends Scott shoulder first into the corner. Gallagher keeps Scott cornered before landing a series of strikes, Scott fights back and Gallagher sends him shoulder first into the mat below.

Gallagher holds Scott down while wrenching away on his arm, Scott fights back and Gallagher catches him in midair to apply a Fujiwara arm bar. Scott eventually gets to the ropes to break the submission attempt, Gallagher keeps Scott down while wrenching away on his arm. Scott gets free and he gets dumped out of the ring after a striking exchange with Gallagher, Gallagher follows him out there to land a few chops and get him back in the ring. Scott recovers and he nails Gallagher with a discus clothesline, Scott then nails a downed Gallagher with a middle rope elbow drop. Scott traps Gallagher in the ropes while landing a plethora of kicks, Scott goes to the ring apron before nailing Gallagher with a few strikes. Scott then nails Gallagher with a rolling flat liner for a near fall, Gallagher recovers and he goes to work on Scott’s shoulder until Scott nails him with a back breaker. Gallagher and Scott get into another striking exchange until Gallagher lands a headbutt for a near fall, Gallagher goes back to work on the arm of Scott and he applies an arm bar. Scott gets free and he applies an arm bar of his own to Gallagher, Gallagher gets free and he gets Scott in another arm bar.

Scott gets free and he snaps the shoulder of Gallagher, Scott then hits Gallagher with the House Call for a three count.

Winner: Isaiah Scott

Candice LeRae vs. Taynara 

The match begins with Taynara going for a pump kick and LeRae blocks it before landing a clothesline, Taynara gets trapped in the ropes before LeRae nails her with a knee strike and neck breaker. LeRae goes to the top rope and Taynara leaves the ring, LeRae then nails Taynara with a baseball slide drop kick. LeRae follows that up by taking out Taynara with a dive, LeRae gets Taynara back in the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt. LeRae holds Taynara down while applying a chin lock to her, Taynara gets free and LeRae goes to the middle rope. Taynara trips up LeRae and she sends her to the mat below before landing a knee strike, Taynara keeps LeRae down while stomping away on her. Taynara manages to hold LeRae down while applying a chin lock, LeRae gets free and she rolls up Taynara for a near fall. Taynara recovers and she takes LeRae down multiple times with judo throws, Taynara then nails LeRae with a pump kick to the face for a near fall.

Taynara keeps LeRae down some more by reapplying a chin lock to her, Taynara releases the hold to choke LeRae on the middle rope. Taynara follows that up by nailing LeRae with a double knee strike and monkey flip for a near fall, Taynara keeps LeRae down while applying a modified camel clutch. LeRae gets free and Taynara transitions to a cross face, LeRae gets free again and she traps Taynara in the ropes before landing a leg kick. LeRae follows that up by nailing Taynara with an enziguri, Taynara blocks a rolling crucifix to land a Tayagosh for a near fall. LeRae gets angry at a taunting Taynara before nailing her with a plethora of strikes, LeRae then hits Taynara with an avalanche followed by a missile drop kick for a near fall. Taynara prevents LeRae from running the ropes and she misses a pump kick attempt afterwards, LeRae nails Taynara for a senton followed by a springboard moonsault for a three count.

Dominick Dijakovic vs. Bronson Reed

The match begins with Dijakovic getting Reed in a headlock, Reed gets free and Dijakovic reapplies the headlock to him. Reed gets free and he gets Dijakovic into a headlock of his own, Dijakovic recovers to get Reed in another headlock. Reed gets free and Dijakovic in unable to drop him with shoulder tackle attempts, Dijakovic and Reed exchange some strikes in the middle of the ring. Dijakovic looks for a sulex ad Reed blocks it before dropping him with a shoulder tackle, Reed then sits on the back of a downed Dijakovic. Reed gets up and he nails Dijakovic with a senton bomb for a near fall, Reed keeps Dijakovic down while applying a modified abdominal stretch. Reed transitions to an inverted bear hug on a downed Dijakovic, Dijakovic gets free and he attacks the back of Reed with some strikes. Dijakovic goes to the middle rope before landing off to nail Reed with an elbow strike, Dijakovic cornered Reed while landing a bunch of strikes. 

Reed fights back and he attacks Dijakovic with some strikes of his own, Dijakovic and Reed have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Reed gains control by nailing Dijakovic with a release German suplex, Reed then nails a cornered Dijakovic with a running butt smash for a near fall. Reed follows up by nailing Dijakovic with a suplex for a near fall, Dijakovic avoids a charging Reed to land a few strikes in the corner. Dijakovic looks for a suplex on Reed and Reed avoids it before eating a combination, Dijakovic nails Reed with a slam suplex afterwards for a near fall. Dijakovic looks for Feast Your Eyes and Reed fights his way free, Dijakovic then nails a charging Reed with a boot to the face for a near fall. Dijakovic goes to the top rope and he lands a moonsault for another near fall, Reed fights back and he eats a boot to the face. Reed goes to the top rope and Dijakovic nails him with a super kick, Reed recovers and he nails Dijakovic with a top rope Thesz Press for a near fall.

Reed goes back to the top rope and Dijakovic meets him up there after landing a headbutt, Reed gets Dijakovic off the ropes and Dijakovic returns to hit Reed with a choke bomb for a three count.

Winner: Dominik Dijakovic

- Cathy Kelley, Pat McAfee and Sam Roberts return to announce that the Undisputed Era faces Imperium in the main event of the World Collide event next month.

Shotzi Blackheart vs. Bianca Belair

The match begins with Blackheart backing Belair into the corner before letting her go free, Belair shoves Blackheart down before taunting her. Blackheart drops Belair with a few arm drags before applying a bridging wrist lock, Belair gets free and she nails Blackheart with a seated senton. Belair then drops Blackheart with a shoulder tackle before avoiding a sunset flip, Blackheart fights back and she rolls up Belair for a near fall. Belair blocks a double knee strike before eating a hurricarana from Blackheart, Blackheart traps Belair in the ropes before lading a senton. Belair leaves the ring and she catches a diving Blackheart before dropping her on the ringside edge, Belair gets back in the ring to get a near fall on Blackheart. Belair keeps Blackheart down while applying a chin lock to her, Blackheart gets free and she rolls up Belair before eating a shoulder tackle. Belair traps Blackheart in the corner before choking her, Blackheart fights back and she cracks Belair with a few strikes.

 

Belair gets angry and she corners Blackheart before landing some shoulder thrusts, Belair drops Blackheart again before stomping away on her. Belair holds Blackheart down before landing a curb stomp and handspring moonsault, Belair drags Blackheart to the ropes before choking her on the middle rope. Belair follows up by landing a suplex on Blackheart for a near fall, Belair slows things down further by holding Blackheart in a chin lock. Blackheart gets free and Belair drops her with a clothesline, Blackheart fights back again and she catches Belair in a sunset flip before eating a drop kick for a near fall. Belair holds Blackheart down again while applying a kravat, Blackheart gets free and Belair reapplies the kravat to her. Blackheart gets free again and she cracks Belair with forearm strikes, Blackheart then corners Belair before landing an avalanche and bulldog. Blackheart then nails Belair with a knee strike and head kick, Blackheart hits Belair with a wheel barrow face buster for a near fall.

Belair fights back and she corners Blackheart again before landing shoulder thrusts, Blackheart recovers and she nails Belair with a tornado DDT on the ring apron. Blackheart goes to the top rope and Belairs avoids her leap, Belair shoves Blackheart into the corner before landing the KOD for a three count.

Winner: Bianca Belair

Damian Priest & Tony Nese vs. Keith Lee & Lio Rush

The match begins with Nese immediately tagging Priest into the match, Rush immediately attacks Priest with an up kick to the face. Lee tags in and Priest attacks him with some leg kicks, Priest and Lee go back and forth until Lee lands a cross body block. Nese and Rush give chase on the arena floor until Lee nails Nese with a pounce onto the announce table as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Rush nailing the arm of Priest with a top rope double stomp. Rush nails Priest with more strikes before getting dropped in midair with a forearm strike, Priest then hits Rush with an avalanche and suplex slam for a near fall. Nese tags in and Rush fights back against him. Nese nails a downed Rush with a spinning head kick for a near fall, Nese keeps Rush down while holding him in a body scissors. Rush gets free and Nese corners him before kicking away at him, Nese misses a spinning head kick and Rush nails him with a springboard stunner.

Priest and Lee are tagged in by their respective partners, Lee immediately cleans house against the opposing team. Priest escapes the grasp of Lee to tag Nese into the match, Nese and Priest drop Lee on the top rope before Nese lands a springboard moonsault for a near fall. Rush tags in and he nails Nese with a springboard hurricarana, Rush then nails Nese with a spinning head kick before tagging Lee in, Priest goes after Lee before nailing a diving Rush with a choke slam on the ring apron. Lee returns and he knocks Priest out of the ring, Nese goes for a suicide dive and Lee catches him before sending him into the barricade. Lee then catches a diving Priest to land a power bomb on the ringside edge, Lee then gets Nese back in the ring. Lee then nails Nese with a jackhammer before tagging Rush into the match, Rush nails Nese with a frog splash from lee’s shoulders for a three count.
