AEW Dynamite (2/21/2024) Results: RVD Returns To AEW, Blackpool Combat Club vs. FTR, And More

AEW hosted its latest episode of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

This week's episode features FTR taking on Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli of the Blackpool Combat Club, Rob Van Dam teaming with HOOK and Hangman Page against Swerve Strickland, Brian Cage and Samoa Joe, and more. The full results of the show are listed below.

AEW Dynamite (2/21/2024) Results

* Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli vs. FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) ends in a no contest due to a time-limit draw. They brawled after the match.

- Renee Paquette interviews Orange Cassidy she runs through his past week and Doc Sampson says Cassidy is barely cleared but he is taking tonight's match with Mike Bennett in place of Trent Beretta.

- FTR is backstage with Alex Marvez. They challenge Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli to a match at AEW Revolution. Moxley and Claudio show up and there's another confrontation but they are separated before it gets physical.

* Orange Cassidy def. Mike Bennett

- After the match, Roderick Strong and Matt Taven hit the scene and attack Cassidy. Cassidy is surprisingly saved by Jake Hager.

- Angelo Parker and Ruby Soho are departing for their date when Ric Flair arrives at the arena. Ric Flair tells Renee Paquette that he's disappointed he's not more involved. He goes to have a meeting with Matthew and Nicholas Jackson.

- Daniel Garcia is interviewed by Tony Schiavone in the ring. It's announced that Garcia will challenge Christian Cage for the TNT Title at AEW Revolution. Christian Cage comes out to reveal that Garcia had a rough childhood and didn't have the best relationship with his father. Garcia then beats up Nick Wayne. Christian then sends Killswitch to the ring. Daddy Magic then comes out with a chair to send all of the Patriarchy running.

- There's a backstage promo featuring Rob Van Dam, HOOK, and 'Hangman' Adam Page. Page seems mad that RVD lost to Strickland in the first place. Van Dam was only concerned about Nana being around.

* Timeless Toni Storm def. Sydni Winnell

- Storm defeated her opponent with Deonna Purrazzo's Venus De Milo. After her match, Purrazzo immediately came out for her own match and confronted the champion briefly.

* Deonna Purrazzo def. Madison Rayne

- Purrazzo ended up winning with Toni Storm's "Break A Leg" Ankle Lock submission hold. After the match, Storm comes out and ends up locking Purrazzo in the Break A Leg.

- There is a promo featuring Sting and Darby Allin about the upcoming match that they have with Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. Darby shows old photos of Sting with his children. Sting reveals that his father sadly passed away last week. He said it's made him think about his own mortality. He knows he's not invincible but he's going to give everything he has left at Revolution. He promises Matthew and Nicholas the fight of their lives.

- Wardlow heads to the ring and cuts a promo talking about how he's never received a world championship opportunity. He says people need to be fired for that. He comments on beating the hell out of CM Punk, squashing MJF, and choking out Samoa Joe. He says he's the best in the world, he says he's better than you, and he's the uncrowned king of AEW.

- There is a Will Ospreay vignette. He will be on Dynamite next week.

- Also, Wardlow is going to compete in something called Meat Madness at Revolution.

- Don Callis says it doesn't matter who wins between Will Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution because his family comes out on top. He says he is on his way to pick up Ospreay from the airport. He also mentions that Powerhouse Hobbs is going to beat up everybody in Meat Madness.
