AEW Dynamite (5/10/23) Results: Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega In A Cage, Two Title Matches, And More

Double Jeopardy (Winner Earns Shot At The Others Championship): Claudio Castagnoli (ROH Champion) vs. Rey Fenix (One-Half of ROH Tag Team Champions)

Going into the first commercial break, Claudio threw Fenix into the crowd with an overhead press. Throughout the break, Claudio kept control. He gets a near fall with a Lariat. Continuing on he hits a top rope gut wrench suplex. Fenix comes back with a suicide dive. Castagnoli nails Fenix with an uppercut in mid-air. Fenix gets a two-count with a sunset flip bomb. Claudio eventually gets the win with a Ricola Bomb.

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli.

- Miro returns and immediately heads into Tony Khan's office.

- FTR comes out. Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal interrupted them. FTR says they will accept their challenge for a match if they admit they've been using Mark Briscoe. Briscoe says he will be the special guest referee in their match at Double or Nothing. Sonjay ends up spitting tequila in the eyes of Dax when Mark Briscoe tries to broker peace. Dax accidentally piledrives Briscoe.

- Chris Jericho announces that Adam Cole is barred from any Arena he's in. Roderick strong appears to let Chris Jericho know that he wants a match with him. They agree to have a falls count anywhere match next week. JAS is banned from ringside next week.

- Thunder Rosa returns and heads to Tony's office.

- Tony Khan says it's very clear that AEW can produce even more content weekly and a major announcement will be coming next week from TNT.

AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Daniel Garcia

Throughout the match, Garcia focuses in on the injured hand of Cassidy. Cassidy get the two count with the Beach Break. Garcia stops the Orange Puch with a dropkick. Garcia hits a piledriver for two. Garcia goes for the Dragon Slayer, Cassidy survives. Cassidy also survives a Crossface. Eventually, Orange Cassidy rolls up Garcia for three.

Winner and still AEW International Champion: Orange Cassidy.

- The Outcasts, in a vignette, challenge Hikaru Shida, Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter to a match next week.

- Tony Schiavone interviews Christian Cage. He says he is the top Contender for the TNT Championship because he is Christian Cage. Cage says he won't waste his breath on Wardlow's father but says Wardlow found at the father he was looking for in Arn Anderson. Christian wants Wardlow in the ring next week.

No Holds Barred: Anna Jay AS vs. Julia Hart

Anna Jay attacks Julia during her entrance and she maintains control for most of the match using a trash can and several other weapons to inflict damage. Anna Jay creates a pile of chairs in the ring. Julia ends up superplexing her kind of onto it and transitions into her submission finisher for the victory.

Winner: Julia Hart

- Backstage, Best Friends and Bandido are prepared for their match and when asked what the final rule of the upcoming Trios Title match will be, they decide to ban all witches from ringside.

AEW World Trios Championship: House of Black (Buddy Matthews, Malakai Black & Brody King) vs. Best Friends (Trent Beretta & Chuck Taylor) & Bandido

There is special mood lighting for these matchups.

Black and Bandido go back and forth to start the match. Black takes control and takes out Bandido with a knee strike and immediately traps him in a knee bar. Chuck Taylor tags in. The challengers hit a triple team maneuver. The Champions eventually take over. Bandito eventually gets control and hits a flurry of offense capped off by a dive. Matthews hits his knee on Bandido and Brody and Black hit Dante's Inferno on Chuck for the victory. After the match, NJPW's Kyle Fletcher is seen standing over a fallen Orange Cassidy.

Winners and still AEW World Trios Champions: House of Black (Buddy Matthews, Malakai Black & Brody King)

Steel Cage Match: Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega

There is a massive brawl before the match, with the BCC and The Young Bucks all getting involved. Nick Jackson dives off the stage before the security staff comes out to get rid of all of the external parties allowing Omega and Moxley to step inside the cage, and Kenny takes control early on.

Kenny Omega grabs a barbed wire-wrapped steel chair. He uses it on Moxley, driving it into Moxley's skin with a double stomp. Moxley's back is bleeding. Moxley takes control and eventually starts using the chair on Kenny. Moxley undoes the turnbuckles and uses the turnbuckle hook to fishhook the mouth of Omega. Glass comes into play. Jon Moxley gets a sleeper in, and Kenny Omega drops some back first onto the glass. Kenny Omega hits a V-Trigger, and Moxley goes flying through the cage. Omega gets crotched onto the open part of the fence. John Moxley uses that to take advantage. Moxley goes for a screwdriver, Don Callis steps in and grabs the screwdriver. Omega goes for the One-Winged Angel, and before the referee could count to three, Callis stabbed Omega with screwdriver. Jon Moxley then covered Omega for the win.

Winner: Jon Moxley

- After the match, Callis boasted about his actions, and Moxley posed as he left the arena.
