Live Coverage

The show opened with Hangman Page and Will Ospreay going face-to-face. Ospreay said he wants their match to headline AEW Double or Nothing. Hangman spoke passionately about why he needs to win the match. He said his children don't look up to him. He said he's been lost for two years, and he wants his wife to look at him with anything other than pity. He wants her to see the man she's in love with. Ospreay chastised Hangman for how he's gone about things for the last few years. Hangman asked if he thought doing his best would beat Jon Moxley. Will said he doesn't know, but he would like Hangman to show him how to get the job done by bringing his best on Sunday, and no matter what, he will be by his side if it ends up being Hangman against Moxley in Texas. By the end of the segment, it's announced that this will be the headlining match on Sunday.

* Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, & Swerve Strickland def. Jon Moxley & The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson)

- After the match, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta attacked until Katsuyori Shibata made the save, only for Marina Shafir to cut him off with a low blow, prompting Willow Nightingale to even the odds with a huge Pounce. Chaos broke out as Kenny Omega stormed the ring, delivering a V-Trigger to Matthew before trying for a One-Winged Angel through a table, but Castagnoli dragged Matthew to safety. As the Bucks and Death Riders retreated through the crowd, Samoa Joe declared they weren’t waiting for Sunday, they’re coming after them again tonight.

- Backstage, Alicia Atout interviews The Hurt Syndicate and their legal team when MJF arrives alongside Mark Sterling. After a quick exchange and fist bumps with MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin, MJF dismisses Atout, praises Sterling, and jokingly asks for hand sanitizer after shaking the lawyer’s hand.

- The Hurt Syndicate comes to the ring. MVP introduced MJF as their new member. After finalizing the deal, MJF called it the best day of his life, but Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara interrupted, criticizing MJF's lack of true grit and warning MVP of the Syndicate's true intentions. Rhodes and Guevara hyped the match on Sunday against Lashley and Benjamin.

- Backstage with Renee Paquette, Kazuchika Okada challenged Mike Bailey to Double or Nothing in an AEW Continental Title match.

* Ricochet def. Anthony Bowens

- Ricochet talked trash after the bout, but Mark Briscoe appeared behind him with a stretcher. Briscoe pushed Ricochet on it and went for a Froggy Bow, but Ricochet scurried away in time.

- The face-to-face between Mercedes Mone and Jamie Hayter featured both women talking about how important this Sunday's match between them is. It devolved into physicality, and Hayter took out Mercedes with Hayterade as Toni Storm came out for the next match because she will be featured on commentary.

- FTR, Nigel McGuinness and Daniel Garcia, will be featured in a contract signing on AEW Collision

* Mina Shirakawa def. Julia Hart

- A fight continued between the two women after the match. Mina got a Figure Four on Hart, and Skye Blue came running down to save Hart, reigniting their partnership. Storm hit the ring to save Mina, but then they ended up brawling, and Mina put Storm in a Figure Four around the ring post.

- A brawl broke out between the competitors of Anarchy in the Arena. There were Kendo sticks, tables, chairs, and chains. The heels stood tall at the show's end after Gabe Kidd appeared from the crowd and gave them the numbers advantage again. Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson put Swerve and Kenny through tables, and the heels gloated after what was a short version of Anarchy in the Arena.
