- AEW Commentator Excalibur begins the broadcast with "It's Wednesday Night, and you know what that means." Excalibur welcomes the viewer to AEW Dynamite's Winter is Coming event. Excalibur sends well wishes to his colleague Jim Ross and then introduces his broadcast partners for tonight, Tony Schiavone and Taz.

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. "Hangman" Adam Page

The crowd is booing Bryan Danielson as we get introductions. Before the bell rings, Adam Page and Bryan Danielson have a face-to-face. The bell rings, and they start with a collar-and-elbow tie-up. The crowd is chanting back and forth between Page and Danielson. Neither man gets an advantage, and they do it again.

Danielson is irritating Page as he grabs the ropes before Page can do anything with him. Finally, Adam Page takes down Danielson with a shoulder tackle. Danielson goes for the ankle pick, but Hangman escapes. Now, we see pushing and shoving between Page and Danielson. The action begins to pick up; however, Danielson gets up after hitting the canvas and grabs the ropes.

Adam Page hits Bryan Danielson with a quick bodyslam; however, Danielson quickly gets up and takes Hangman down again and has another ankle pick in on Page. Next, Danielson puts the Romero Special on Page but has to let go of it because of Page's height and size. Hangman smiles as he gets up and hits Danielson with a big chop; Danielson falls back into the corner.

We see Page on top of the ropes and land ten consecutive punches. Danielson recovers and takes Page down, and begins working the legs of Adam Page.

Danielson then starts beating the AEW Champion down with some stiff shots. Page attempts to go for The Buckshot Lariat, but Danielson is ready for it. Hangman is back in the ring, and now Danielson gets sent to the outside of the ring. Adam Page jumps over the top rope and lands on Danielson, laying him out. Page goes to the top rope, and he flies off, but Danielson kicks him in the midsection, and now Page is down.

Danielson is now punishing Page with some stiff kicks. Danielson has Page tied up to ropes and lands some more stiff shots. Finally, Danielson goes to the top rope and lands a big flying knee onto the back of Page's head. We go to our first picture-in-picture commercial break with Danielson in control.

We return from the break, and Page gains control of Danielson with a bodyslam. Page then follows it up with a fallaway slam. Danielson rolls out of the ring to take a break; this does not stop Page as he hits Danielson with tope suicida; Page hits a moonsault from the top rope and lands on top of Danielson.

Page hits Danielson with the Death Valley Driver. Page goes for a pin attempt, Danielson kicks out at two. Danielson and Page are exchanging strikes; both men are on the top rope; however, Danielson slips away and goes behind Page and hits him with multiple elbow strikes. Page goes for the moonsault press, he misses, Danielson goes for the pin, but Page kicks out at two.

The crowd is chanting, "this is awesome" Page goes for a quick attempt, and Danielson counters it with a submission hold, but Page gets out of it. Instead, Danielson is landing big knees to the back of the AEW Champion Adam Page. Danielson hits two consecutive running kicks, and he goes for a third, but Page counters it into a sit-down powerbomb and pin, but Danielson kicks out at two. Page is now going for the Buckshot Lariat; Danielson crawls outside the ring.

Page is going for another moonsault; however, Danielson pushes Page off the turnbuckle and lands on his shoulder. Danielson now grabs Page and sends him into the steel post, and Page is busted open. We go to another picture-in-picture commercial break with trainers checking on Page. Danielson is doing jumping jacks in the ring, aggravating the crowd.

We return from the break, and Danielson hits Page with multiple flying knees. Danielson then slams Page's arm into the steel post. Danielson lands five stiff shots on Page, who is on the ropes; AEW Referee Paul Turner checks in the AEW Champion to see if he can still go. Page is okay to continue, so Danielson goes back to work. Danielson hits Page with a German suplex, Danielson goes for the LeBell Lock, but Page makes it to the ropes.

Bryan Danielson begins kicking the chest of Adam Page; Danielson goes for one final kick; however, he misses, and he kicks the steel post. Adam Page has gained the upper hand and works on Danielson's leg. Danielson is hurting, Page notices, and he locks in figure four. Danielson rolls to the ropes, and Page has to release the hold. We go to another picture-in-picture commercial break.

We return from the break; Excalibur says it is the longest match AEW has had. Danielson and Page are exchanging punches. Bryan Danielson locks in another submission hold; Page walks into a triangle hold. Page picks up Danielson and powerbomb's him; however, Danielson does not let go of the hold. Adam Page has to roll over to the ropes to get out of the hold. Danielson is now peppering Page with multiple kicks to the chest. Page hits Danielson with a Tombstone Piledriver; Page goes for the pin, Danielson kicks out at two.

Danielson hits Page with a shoulder capture suplex and pin; Page kicks out at two. The action continues, Danielson and Page are on the top rope, and Danielson hits Page with a back bodyslam. Page hits Danielson with the Dead Eye on the ring apron and rolls off and onto the ground.

Danielson is outside the ring by the ring announcer's desk, Page goes to the top rope, and he comes down trying to hit Danielson, but he misses and goes through the table, and we go to another picture-in-picture commercial break.

Danielson hits Page with a DDT on the exposed concrete during the break. We return from the break, and Page hits Danielson with a German suplex. Now, Page and Danielson are exchanging strikes again. Both men are on the top turnbuckle again, Danielson goes for the big avalanche German suplex, but Page lands on his feet and Page hits Danielson with a massive lariat. Now, Page and Danielson both hit each other with rolling elbow strikes.

Danielson begins stomping on Page's face multiple times. Danielson goes for the Busaiku Knee; however, Page counters it into another Dead Eye. Page goes for the pin, Danielson kicks out. Now, Page begins stomping on the face of Danielson with his boot. Adam Page now goes for the Buckshot Lariat; Danielson counters it into the LaBell Lock. Page is doing everything to stay alive, we have less than a minute, and Page hits another Buckshot Lariat. We have reached the time limit, and the match is over before Page can pin him. The crowd is booing heavily; medical trainers check-in on Danielson and Page.

No Winner: Time Limit Draw

- The Superkliq is doing a backstage segment, Adam Cole and The Young Bucks bury The Best Friends. The Superkliq and Bobby Fish challenge The Best Friend's to an 8-man tag match on Rampage this week. Adam Cole says that he has a great Christmas Gift to give The Young Bucks next week on the Christmas Bash episode.

Matt Sydal vs. Wardlow (w/ Shawn Spears)

The bell rings, and Matt Sydal gets in a few strikes; however, Wardlow quickly ends it. Wardlow then hits Sydal with three powerbomb's, and he then pins Sydal for the quick win. Spears gets on the microphone and tells Wardlow he's doing too much work, and they don't get paid by the hour. Spears then hits Sydal with multiple chair shots.

Spears answers his cell phone and says that they need to go and pick up some champagne and have it ready for MJF so that they can celebrate his victory over Dante Martin. Wardlow is somewhat irritated by all of this.

Winner: Wardlow (w/ Shawn Spears)

- We get a promo setting up a match between Tay Conti and Penelope Ford. They will have a Submission Match on this week's Rampage.

- Malakai Black has a vignette and indicates that someone has joined the House of Black.

Hikaru Shida vs. Serena Deeb

The bell rings, and we see both competitors go at each other right away. After hitting Deeb with a big dropkick, Shida gains control of the match first. Deeb locks in a submission hold after taking Shida out with a few strikes. Shida goes for a running knee strike, but she misses it. Serena Deeb uses the ring post and locks in figure four on Shida as we go to a picture-in-picture commercial break.

Serena Deeb controls the action during the entire commercial break; Deeb strikes Shida with multiple kicks. We return from the break with Deeb stretching Shida out. Shida fights back and hits Deeb with a series of strikes. Shida hits Deeb with a step-up enzuigiri, Shida follows it with a delayed vertical suplex. Shida goes for the pin; however, Deeb kicks out at two.

Shida goes to the top rope, and Deeb pushes Shida off the top and begins working on Shida's knee. Deeb then uses the steel turnbuckle and hits Shida with a neckbreaker. Serena Deeb has Shida in a bridge hold, Deeb makes it to the ropes, and the hold has to be released.

Deeb hits neck breakers; however, when Deeb goes for a third, Shida counters it and hits Deeb with the Falcon Arrow. Deeb puts Shida in a single leg crab hold, Serena and Shida exchange strikes, and Deeb gains control. Deeb exposes the top turnbuckle, Shida hits Deeb with the jackknife, which gets her the win.

Winner: Hikaru Shida

- After the match, Tony Schiavone is interviewing The Varsity Blonds, and Griff Garrison talks about what Malakai Black did to Julia Hart. Brian Pillman Jr. tells him to "think it through and not let this guy get into your head." Griff tells Pillman that "Julia is a sister to us, and if you don't fight, I will." He says he will break Malakai's jaw next week. We then go to a commercial break.

- We get a video highlight package of Hook from last week's AEW Rampage.

Dynamite Diamond Ring Finals
Dante Martin vs. MJF

Before the match, MJF comes out cuts a promo running down Texas. He then talks about how CM Punk could only talk about sports teams in his promo. He then says, "CM Punk is the new Ryback." MJF continues to take some shots and says that he is the future of the business.

Dante Martin makes his way out to the ring. The bell rings, and MJF takes Martin down with a headlock. MJF and Dante exchange and counter holds. Martin hits MJF with a 450 Knee Drop. Dante then walks around the ring, trying to catch up to MJF. Martin is on the top turnbuckle, but MJF pushes him off the turnbuckle, and Martin lands hard on the outside near the barricade. We go to our last picture-in-picture commercial break with MJF in control.

We return with MJF still in control; MJF goes for a powerbomb and hits it. MJF goes for the pin, and MJF puts his legs on the ropes. The referee Bryce Remsburg catches him and kicks his feet off. Now, this allows Dante to get back into the match. Dante Martin flies over the top rope dive, and then Dante hits MJF with a tope con helo and hits two more over the top rope dives. Finally, Dante goes for the springboard shooting star on MJF, and he almost misses him; only his knee hits MJF. MJF and Dante exchange pin attempts multiple times.

MJF hits Martin with a Liger Bomb, MJF goes for the pin attempt, but Dante kicks out. Dante is back up, and he hits MJF with another moonsault, he goes for the pin, but Ricky Starks is there to put MJF's foot on the ropes.

Martin loses focus, allowing MJF to lock in the Salt of the Earth, and Dante taps out. MJF wins his third Dynamite Diamond Ring. After the match, FTR comes out to celebrate with MJF. The lights go out, and they come back on, and it's Sting and Darby Allin. They begin fighting FTR and MJF; however, FTR and MJF gain the upper hand. CM Punk's music hits, and he makes the save. Punk then tells MJF that next week on Dynamite in Greensboro; it will be Sting, Darby Allin, and CM Punk vs. FTR and MJF. The show then goes off the air.
